What Is Aluminium Sulphate?
Aluminium Sulphate is a chemical compound with the formula Al2(SO4)3·xH2O, supplied as a white to light yellow granular, powdered or lump solid. It is manufactured by reacting bauxite or other aluminium-bearing minerals with sulphuric acid. In water, it hydrolyses to form aluminium hydroxide flocs, which is the property that makes it useful as a coagulant and flocculant.
